You can use solid colors in many ways to enhance your Notion pages. They make clean page covers, section dividers and gallery previews, particularly when showcasing [your brand pallet](Link to Color section of Design System). You can also insert them within content that discusses particular colors.
To use a specific color, save it as an image with Color Saver or your favorite design tool, then add it to your page.

- Hover your cursor above the page title and choose
Add Cover
. - Hover above the cover and choose
Change Cover
. - Click

, then select your color image.

Setting your page icon to a solid color creates a nice visual effect in lists and other views.
- Hover your cursor over your page title and choose
Add Icon
. - Click the icon. Select

Insert a specific color within your page content
- Type
/image
to add an image to your page. - Click
Upload
andChoose File
, then choose your color image. - Resize and drag the image to your liking. If you’re creating a section divider, take it full-width.
- If you’re referencing the color in your content, consider adding a caption.

Solid colors make beautiful card previews for Notion galleries, particularly as a representation of a color pallet.
For each entry in your gallery, make the cover a solid color, then set the card preview to be the page cover:
